This small-production single-vineyard 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is made from a single lot from a single vineyard each vintage. We isolate a block worthy of the 1-T-L release, then harvest, ferment and age the wine separately. It’s a singular expression of a single vineyard wine. The name comes from David Scheidt’s dad (Thomas Leroy) – chosen the year they picked up the one-ton lot in his one-ton pickup. Wine Varietal 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Mill Creek Vineyard
Tasting Notes Full-bodied tannins, rich blackberry fruit, and a few edgy corners (for those that like to drink their Cab’s young) this wine will round out over the next 10 years into a classic wine.

Another solid year of sun, heat and consistent weather since 2012 makes for intense or elegant wines, depending upon your style. I tend to favor elegance and intensity with restraint. 2015 offered high-quality fruit across the region and I’m very happy with the result.
The Mill Creek Road property is one that I have worked with since 2007. The yields are small, the water is scarce, and the fruit is elegant. Small clusters make this one of the more difficult vineyards to pick, but worth the additional effort. Large stones are dispersed throughout the property with a bedrock layer roughly four to eight feet below the surface.
The Mill Creek Road property is standing center stage as a vineyard designate and a pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from a hillside vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. Full-bodied tannins, rich blackberry fruit, and a few edgy corners (for those that like to drink their Cab’s young) this wine will round out over the next 10 years into a classic wine. I’m proud to showcase the Mill Creek Road property in this exclusive bottling of one ton of fruit.
