You might not believe this... but I am not a sucker for a pretty label. My skepticism starts to tingle when I see a stunning label. I fear they are overcompensating for a less than stunning wine. However, when I find a beautiful label supported by an equally amazing wine... life stops for a minute and birds sing.
This wine is more than a pretty label but also an amazing example of what a Zinfandel should taste like. It is complex and rich. Perfect to take to any occasion you would like to impress people, or just know that even if the food is lame, you brought good wine.
Wine Varietal 100% Zinfandel
Tasting Notes Dark and ruby hues, red fruit, licorice root, brambleberry, a natural acidity. The mid-palate is loaded with mixed dark fruits, spice cake, and root beer. Full-bodied and structured, a 1 hour decant works darn well.
